Delphi Packard shuts down Moldova Noua factory

The US group Delphi Packard, which has been present in Romania for over 15 years, has announced it will shut down its factory in Moldova Noua, which employs 698.

The company, the biggest employer in the area, laid off in 2016 many of its employees and said the factory closure was due to the scarcity of labour force in the region.

According to a statement, the lack of labour force made the company reach the decision to shut down its factory. In 2016 the company had a turnover of RON 378 million.
