MIG Group said consolidated sales eased to 841.9 million euros in the January-September period from 848.4 million in the same period last year.

Consolidated EBITDA fell to 103.8 million euros, from 113.7 million in 2016. The company attributed this development to a significant increase in the price of fuel and said the group's strategically important subsidiaries continued improving their operating peformance and maintaining their leading position in the Greek economy despite adverse conditions prevailing in the market.

Attica Group reported stable consolidated sales at 215.5 million euros and a decline in EBITDA to 47.7 million euros (62.3 million in 2016) due to higher fuel prices. Vivartia Group reported lower consolidated sales to 432.9 million euros hit by a 7.8 pct decline in the fresh milk market in the nine-month period.

On the other hand, frozen food and restaurant turnover grew in the January-September period (0.7 pct and 1.7 pct, respectively), while EBITDA grew to 42.5 million euros from 35.1 million last year.

Hygeia Group reported a 0.6 pct increase in sales to 168.4 million euros, EBITDA rose 7.4 pct to 23.2 million euros and EBITDA margin grew to 13.8 pct from 12.9 pct.
