An open air mixed use area is under construction in Mati

According to the Municipal Authority, “the vision becomes reality“. The area spans ​​approximately in a 130 acres site and will comprise mild infrastructure for families, elderly and disabled, always with respect to the nature and the surrounding environment of the area.

• Educational center for children’s environmental education
• Children’s environmental education park
• Visitor Information Center

• Beach volleyball, tennis, 5×5 courts
• Mountain bike area
• Tour and observation area
• Outdoor event space and more.

According to Marathon Mayor, Stergios Tsirkas, “by completion, an extra breath of life shall be created not only for the fire-stricken areas of the Municipality but also for the Eastern Attica as a whole and will kept as our country’s legacy”.
