Passenger traffic in Athens “El. Venizelos” airport up 12.9% in June

According to the AIA, both domestic and international passenger traffic exceeded last year’s figures by 7.5% and 15.4%.

Overall, during the first six months of the year, the airport’s traffic reached 14.01 million passengers, marking an increase of 16%. Passenger traffic, both domestic and international, showed an increase of 8.6% and 19.5% respectively.

The number of flights at Athens International Airport during the first six months of 2024 reached 119,853, recording an increase of 13.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2023. Both domestic and international flights increased by 6.4% and 19.0% compared to 2023.
