According to data released by the ELSTAT, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) shows that inflation in Greece rose 2.7% on an annual basis in February 2026.

This increase is slightly higher than the 2.5% rise recorded in the corresponding year-on-year comparison of February 2025 with February 2024.

On a monthly basis, the General Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a marginal increase of 0.1% in February 2026 compared with January 2026. In contrast, the same monthly comparison in 2025 had recorded a 0.1% decrease.

In twelve-month terms, the average CPI for the period March 2025–February 2026 increased by 2.5% compared with the previous twelve-month period (March 2024–February 2025). This rate is lower than the 2.7% increase recorded in the corresponding comparison of the previous twelve-month period.

These figures indicate that, despite a slight year-on-year acceleration in February, the twelve-month inflation trend shows a mild deceleration.
