As stated by the company in a relevant announcement, the contract has a duration of four years, with a total budget of €2.14 million, and includes an option for a two-year extension with an additional budget of €849 thousand.
The agreement also provides for corrective works that may arise during the term of the contract, which will be remunerated in accordance with pre-agreed prices and terms.
The project concerns the preventive maintenance of the following infrastructure at Athens International Airport:
- Aircraft movement areas (apron and runway infrastructure)
- Pedestrian and vehicle circulation areas (landside pavements and infrastructure)
- Aircraft and vehicle bridge network
- Markings of all the above areas (airside and landside markings)
- Perimeter fencing of the airport (fencing and gates)
The joint venture is responsible for maintaining critical civil engineering infrastructure throughout the airport, including runways, taxiways, road networks, bridges, perimeter fencing, gates, and pavement markings, all within a fully operational airport environment governed by strict safety regulations and procedures.
The contract reflects the trust placed by Athens International Airport in the joint venture’s technical expertise, operational readiness, and experience in managing complex and demanding airport infrastructure, reaffirming management’s strategic commitment to its operational objectives.
