New technology infrastructure project is expected to upgrade the living standards in Egaleo Municipality

The project is expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2022. 

According to an announcement, the municipality has picked Intracom Telecom and the integrated uiTOP platform for monitoring and managing “Smart City” infrastructure and applications, which include WiFi network, an air quality and noise levels recording system as well as the wifio CrowdSensing solution to avoid overcrowding in the Egaleo Grove.

All the information is available to citizens in the form of multimedia content, while the services of the Municipality have access through the platform.

For the communication of the sensors with the uiTOP platform, which has been developed entirely by Greek engineers, a LoRaWAN Network has been designed and will be implemented by Intracom Telecom, which has the ability to support other “Smart City” applications and will be the property of the Municipality of Egaleo.
