FIAT’s Lingotto industrial unit in Turin under an impressive redevelopment

In particular they created a garden with 40,000 plants in the property that was initially designed by the famous Italian architect Giacomo Matte-Trucco and from 1923 till 1980 housed the headquarters of the automobile industry in Turin.

The garden on the test track that will now be used only for electric cars, will be accessible to the public. 

The roof spans 27,000sqm and the garden is formed by a complex of 28 green “islands” that cover 6,000sqm and have over 300 native plant species.
