Intrakat wins tender for Athens Railway Station redevelopment

INTRAKAT – RAILWAY PROJECTS SA (7.50%) submitted offer with the highest discount (7.5%) and was followed by TERNA SA. – MYTILINEOS SA (6.00%) and AVAX (5.07%).

This point onwards will follow the procedures provided by the tender for the appointment of the temporary contractor.

The budget of the project amounts to €42.1 million and refers to the remaining works of railway infrastructure, superstructure and electrification at the Athens railway station and its connection with the Metro – second phase of the Athens Railway Station.

In particular the development of the Athens Railway Station is expected to promote and upgrade the network, to reconstruct its functional elements (docks, pedestrian crossings, etc.), electrification, and parallel construction of the necessary infrastructure (foundations) of the building projects that will be completed in the future.

This project is one of the seven projects with a total budget of €515.3 million, which have been auctioned recently.
