EKTER consortium secures €51.1M Kalamata Airport upgrade contract

A €51.1 million contract, excluding VAT, for the design and construction of works at Kalamata International Airport was signed on 9 October 2026 by the consortium “INTRAPOWER – EKTER S.A. – KLX AIRPORT JOINT VENTURE”, in which EKTER holds a 50% stake.
The contracting party is KALAMATA AIRPORT S.A., with the project covering the upgrade and expansion of the airport’s facilities to strengthen its infrastructure and operational capacity.
According to the listed company’s announcement, the scope of the contract includes the construction of a new terminal covering approximately 9,300 sq m, as well as the renovation of the existing terminal. The works also provide for the expansion of the aircraft apron, the development of landside infrastructure and the construction of associated facilities.
The overall completion deadline has been set at 30 months from the commencement date of the works.
EKTER’s Order Backlog Reaches €428.3 Million
The contract award strengthens EKTER’s order book as the company continues to expand its presence in the construction sector. Following the signing, the outstanding value of public and private projects being executed by the company, either independently or through its participation in joint ventures, stands at €428.3 million.
The new contract adds to the company’s existing project portfolio, further strengthening the contribution of its construction activities to future revenue.
