Viohalco and Antetokounmpo Foundation team up to create pathways for youth employment in industry

This year’s programme involved young participants aged 18 to 30, who attended technical training courses, practical workshops, and employment preparation sessions, with content tailored to the actual needs of businesses operating in the industrial sector.

The programme was developed in response both to the challenges many young people face in accessing technical education, professional networks, and stable employment, as well as to the growing need of industrial companies for skilled human resources.

Training Designed to Lead to Employment

To implement the initiative, Viohalco collaborates with the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation and the SEV Technical Academy, creating an educational model that directly connects vocational training with real employment opportunities.

Participants acquire specialized technical skills and are prepared for integration into industrial companies. The results of the second cycle have already been particularly positive, with two participants securing full-time employment positions even before the graduation ceremony.

Industry Investing in Human Capital

Viohalco companies, as key supporters of the programme, emphasize that their contribution goes beyond providing employment opportunities, focusing instead on creating the conditions for long-term professional integration and career development.

Through a structured working environment, young participants gain access to prospects for stable employment, professional growth, and workplace security, while at the same time contributing to the effort to address the Greek industry’s need for skilled personnel.

Long-Term Vision

CAFF Work is one of the key initiatives of the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation, aiming to create employment pathways in sectors such as manufacturing, construction, hospitality, retail, and sports, through partnerships with companies seeking skilled workers.

In a joint statement, the Antetokounmpo family highlighted that the programme was created to help reduce the barriers many young people face in accessing employment.

“Growing up, we experienced firsthand how difficult it can be for someone who wants to work but does not have access to opportunities. CAFF Work aims to reduce these barriers. We thank the Viohalco team for sharing the same vision and supporting this initiative. We hope to see the programme grow further, with more partners, more sectors, and more opportunities for young people to build long-term professional careers,” the Antetokounmpo family stated.
