Greek business turnover rises 2.6% in Q1

Business turnover in Greece increased by 2.6% in the first quarter of this year, reaching €111.27 billion, compared with €108.48 billion in the first quarter of 2025.

According to ELSTAT, the largest increase in turnover in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the first quarter of 2025 was recorded in the Construction sector (17.4%), while the largest decline was observed in Accommodation and Food Service Activities (1%).

For all businesses in the country required to keep double-entry accounting books and for which monthly data are available, turnover in March 2026 amounted to €34.79 billion, marking an increase of 12% compared with March 2025, when it stood at €31.07 billion.

The Construction sector also recorded the highest increase in turnover in March (27.3%), while the Real Estate Activities sector experienced the largest decrease (1.3%).
