ELTA launches implementation of its network transformation plan.

According to an official announcement, “following the successful transformation of the first 11 branches, completed in the previous period, citizens continue to receive uninterrupted services, while the new offices operate with extended hours, enhancing daily service for local communities. At the same time, mail and parcel delivery continues at the same pace and frequency as before.”

Within this framework, ELTA is now proceeding with the second phase of its plan, which involves the transfer of operations to a total of 30 branches throughout March. The first seven of these will operate in new post offices or ELTA Courier offices, all located within a short distance of the existing facilities. The transfers are scheduled to be completed by March 6, 2026.

Branch Relocations

Operations will be moved to the following locations:

  • Nea Artaki, Evia: to the new post office, approximately 100 meters from the existing branch, at Ethnikis Antistaseos 51, 34600 Nea Artaki.
  • Krestena, Ilia: to the new post office, approximately 70 meters away, at Seferli Chr. 4, 27055 Krestena.
  • Agia Varvara, Heraklion, Crete: to the new post office, approximately 170 meters from the existing branch.
  • Lixouri, Kefalonia: to the new post office, approximately 30 meters away, at Lavraga 3, 28200 Lixouri.
  • Servia, Kozani: to the new post office, approximately 300 meters away, at Agiou Georgiou 10, 50500 Servia.
  • Neochori, Aetolia-Acarnania: to the existing Katoxis post office, approximately 1,400 meters away.
  • Gytheio, Laconia: to the new ELTA Courier office, approximately 100 meters away, at Archaiou Theatrou 10, 23200 Gytheio.

Services and Operations

“The new offices will provide all core services, including pension payments, labor card (ergosimo) processing, bill payments, money transfers, and all postal services. Eurobank transactions will continue via the existing bank network and local ATMs, as well as alternative service points.

Mail distribution in each area, as well as home delivery services, will continue at the same pace and frequency as before, with no interruptions. Existing staff will retain their positions and be reassigned to another branch within the same prefecture as part of the network reorganization,” the ELTA management emphasized.

Transition Process
For each phase of the transformation, ELTA follows the same procedure:

  • Engage in dialogue with the local community.
  • Inform citizens through announcements and posters.
  • Operate both the existing and new service points in parallel for a period, ensuring a smooth transition with no disruption to services.
