The projects include works on national and provincial roads, together with maintenance and restoration works on streams and rivers.
More specifically, the tendering of the following projects has been approved:
- “Maintenance and alignment improvements on the Astros–Leonidio Provincial Road, Arkadiko–Sampatiki section”, with a budget of €1 million, financed through the Peloponnese Region’s Regional Development Programme.
- “Maintenance and improvement of the road surface of the Tripoli–Karkalou National Road, at various sections”, with a budget of €1.5 million, financed through the Peloponnese Region’s Regional Development Programme.
- “Improvement of the 9th National Road, Kyparissia–Faraladas Interchange section (2026)”, with a budget of €1.2 million.
- “Maintenance and improvement of sections of Provincial Road No. 17 (Argos–Pyrgella–Agia Triada–Arachnaio)”, with a budget of €700,000.
- “Improvement of the National and Provincial Road Network under the jurisdiction of the Regional Unit of Corinthia in the Municipalities of Corinth and Loutraki–Perachora–Agioi Theodoroi”, with a budget of €1.1 million.
- “Maintenance and restoration works on the Xirias, Agios Charalambos, Rachiani and Zapantis streams and the Asopos River in the Regional Unit of Corinthia”, with a budget of €600,000.
New Interventions Across the Regional Units
The approvals by the Regional Committee activate the process for a significant package of projects addressing the specific needs of each area, with an emphasis on road safety, improving the accessibility and functionality of the road network, and strengthening flood protection infrastructure.
