Greek annual inflation is expected to decrease to 6.5% in February vs a month ago

Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, food, alcohol & tobacco is expected to have the highest annual rate in February (15.0%, compared with 14.1% in January), followed by energy (13.7%, compared with 18.9% in January), non-energy industrial goods (6.8%, compared with 6.7% in January) and services (4.8%, compared with 4.4% in January).

Looking at the main components of inflation in the euro area, food, alcohol and tobacco are expected to have the highest annual rate in February (15%, up from 14.1% in January), followed by energy (13.7% , versus 18.9% in January), non-energy industrial goods (6.8%, versus 6.7% in January) and services (4.8%, versus 4.4% in January).

In Greece, annual inflation is expected to decrease to 6.5% from 7.3% in January.

The highest level of inflation in the eurozone was recorded in February by Latvia (20.1%), Estonia (17.8%) and Lithuania (17.2%).

The lowest inflation in the eurozone is recorded by Spain and Luxembourg (4.8%), Belgium (5.5%), Spain (6.1%) and Greece (6.5%). They are followed by Cyprus (6.7%), Malta (7%), France (7.2%). Inflation in Germany in February was at 9.3%.
