Greeks amongst the 5 lowest paid emploees in the world

Research unveils that Mexicans work an average of 40 hours and 48 minutes a week or 2,124 hours a year. And since they are paid an average of $ 16,230 a year, that means the average hourly wage is just $ 7.64, which is at least $ 20 lower than the world average. In second place among the countries with the lowest paid workers is Chile, although earnings per hour are almost double that of Mexico.

Slovakia is the lowest paid European country, followed by Hungary, where in both countries workers earn around $ 15 an hour on average.

Greece is listed fifth in place of the survey, with the average Greek working 33 hours and 12 minutes per week or a total of 1,728 hours per year. With an average annual earnings of $ 27,207, the average hourly wage is estimated at $ 15.74.

On the contrary, the top 5 countries with the highest paid employees are Iceland, Luxembourg, Denmark, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
