Papastratos emerges as Philip Morris International’s center for 12 countries

According to a relevant announcement, Christos Harpantidis, as vice-president of Europe, is responsible for the 12 countries of South-Eastern Europe and is based in Greece.

The company’s unique path of transformation-model started in 2015 with 3 countries of responsibility, continued with 5 and from 2018 with 7. In 2023, Christos Harpantidis will lead the administrative center of 12 countries and, specifically, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania , Cyprus, Malta, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro.

The business footprint for the new era of Papastratos translates into a turnover exceeding $5 billion, 3 factories and more than 4,000 employees. This is one of PMI’s largest and dynamically developing business areas, operating 2 of the 3 heated tobacco rod production plants in Europe.

In 2023, Giorgos Margonis will take over as managing director of Papastratos, with responsibility for Greece, Cyprus and Malta.
