The Municipality of Elefsina acquires National Bank’s stake in iconic leisure park

According to the relevant announcement, the Oasis park is located in the eastern part of the Municipality and is adjacent to the Saradapotamos River, Elefsina Military Airport, the New Athens-Corinth National Highway and Gelas Avenue. 

The park spans in a total area of 20,543.00sqm, from which 12,309.00sqm are a National Bank’s property and the 8,234.00sqm are part of the Municipality of Elefsina’s assets portfolio.

Based on the above, the Municipality is going to purchase the following OTs:

• Building block 385, owned by National Bank, area 2,580.00sqm
• Building block 384, property of National Bank, area 6,401.00sqm
• Building block 396, property of National Bank, area 3,328.00sqm

Following extensive talks and an intense negotiations on behalf between the Municipal Authority and the National Bank, the agreed purchase price was set at 1,062,268 euros, while the objective value of the properties is estimated at 1,356,405 euros

The transaction will be financed resulting no burden on the municipal budget, and in particular from c. 20 million euros of funds that the Municipal Authority has secured from the Ministry of the Interior.

The transaction in combination with infrastructure projects which are in progress and/or underway, such as the opening of roads, the construction of sidewalks, etc., the entire area is gradually being upgraded, both aesthetically and functionally.
