The project aims to rehabilitate an inactive quarry site using inert materials, without the need for additional processing, within a fully controlled and legally compliant framework through the contracted members of PEDMEDE ECO.
The total volume of restoration materials amounts to 3,350,572 m³, with a planned duration of 10 years for morphological restoration and 3 years for vegetative rehabilitation. This long-term initiative combines environmental responsibility, efficient resource management, and the strengthening of legal infrastructure for inert material disposal in Attica.
The operation of the Triada quarry directly contributes to reducing illegal dumping and promotes a decentralized, efficient model for Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) management. At the same time, it highlights the importance of collaboration between approved Systems and Waste Managers, providing sustainable solutions with measurable environmental benefits.
