The project, named “Agrotourism Village with Integrated Tourist Resort in Sani, Halkidiki,” has an initial budget of approximately €400 million and is expected to become one of the most significant new development initiatives on the region’s tourism map.
The investment will be developed on ONYX’s privately owned land and envisages the creation of an integrated tourism destination comprising a five-star hotel, holiday residences, leisure and hospitality facilities, infrastructure works, and extensive landscaping and environmental improvements.
AKTOR to Participate from Project Design to Completion
Under the agreement, AKTOR Group will play an active role from the early stages of investment development, providing technical support services and contributing to the optimization of the project design.
More specifically, AKTOR will undertake the review of engineering studies in terms of completeness and constructability (constructability review), submit proposals for project value optimization through the Value Engineering process, and contribute to the development of the overall implementation schedule and execution strategy.
The cooperation is based on the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) model, a practice that enables the contractor to become involved at an early stage of the design process, with the aim of achieving more effective control over costs, timelines, and technical requirements.
Following the completion of the pre-construction phase, AKTOR is expected to undertake the execution of the main construction works through to the completion and commencement of operations of the complex.
New Momentum for High-End Tourism in Halkidiki
The investment is expected to further strengthen Halkidiki’s position as a high-value tourism destination, with a focus on integrated tourism products combining hotel facilities, holiday residences, and comprehensive hospitality services.
For AKTOR, the agreement represents another significant presence in the field of major private projects and tourism developments. For ONYX Tourism, it marks the advancement of an ambitious investment plan expected to create new prospects for tourism development in Northern Greece.
