According to the quarterly non-financial accounts of General Government published by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT):
General Government revenue amounted to €26.375 billion, compared with €24.509 billion in the first quarter of last year. Taxes on income and wealth totalled €4.613 billion, up from €4.469 billion. Social contributions reached €7.935 billion, compared with €7.672 billion in the first quarter of 2025.
Total General Government expenditure amounted to €27.667 billion, compared with €25.294 billion in the first quarter of last year. Primary expenditure stood at €25.733 billion, up from €23.416 billion.
Compensation of employees amounted to €6.372 billion, compared with €6.018 billion. Social benefits reached €12.416 billion, up from €11.660 billion. Meanwhile, subsidies totalled €589 million, compared with €472 million in the first quarter of 2025.
