TMEDE delivered strong financial results in 2025, improving profitability, operational efficiency and its capital base while expanding financing opportunities for small and medium-sized technical enterprises and professionals across the sector.

According to the financial results announced by the Governing Committee of the Engineers and Public Works Contractors Fund (TMEDE), prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and following an unqualified audit by independent statutory auditors, turnover increased by 12.98%, while EBITDA rose by 27.20% compared with 2024.

At the same time, equity reached €191.51 million, representing an increase of 25.39% and further strengthening the organisation’s financial position.

Higher Revenue and Improved Operating Profitability

TMEDE’s turnover reached €14.78 million in 2025, compared with €13.08 million in 2024 and €11.98 million in 2023. Over the three-year period, turnover increased by approximately 23.3%. Revenue from guarantee letters, a core component of the organisation’s activities, amounted to €13.86 million, up 15.59% year on year.

Operating profitability recorded even stronger growth. EBITDA rose to €8.58 million, from €6.75 million in 2024 and €5.68 million in 2023. Overall, EBITDA increased by approximately 51.2% over the 2023–2025 period.

Meanwhile, the EBITDA margin improved to 58.07%, compared with 51.58% in 2024 and 47.36% in 2023. This development indicates that business growth was accompanied by improved operating efficiency.

In terms of overall profitability, profit before tax, including gains from shares, interest and other sources, amounted to €17.81 million, an increase of 21.50% compared with €14.66 million in 2024.

Net profit after tax reached €15.83 million, compared with €12.77 million in the previous financial year, representing an increase of 23.98%.

Capital Base Strengthened by €38.8 Million
TMEDE also recorded a significant strengthening of its capital base, with equity reaching €191.51 million at the end of 2025, up from €152.73 million in 2024. This represents an increase of €38.78 million, or 25.39%.

Management notes that the improvement in the organisation’s financial performance strengthens its capacity to expand its role in guarantee provision, financing and support for the technical sector.

As Konstantinos Makedos, Chairman of TMEDE’s Governing Committee, emphasised, the 2025 results confirm the organisation’s continued financial and operational progress, with a focus on improving efficiency and maintaining a strong financial foundation.

Expanding Financing Opportunities for Technical Enterprises
Alongside its financial growth, TMEDE continues to strengthen its lending and financing role by leveraging financial instruments and partnerships designed to improve technical enterprises’ access to capital.

In cooperation with the Hellenic Development Bank, the EAT–TMEDE Guarantee Fund programme has been extended until the end of 2026 and upgraded, increasing the maximum working capital financing available per beneficiary to €400,000 from €200,000 previously. The Fund provides banks with a guarantee covering 80% of the financing amount.

As of 31 August 2026, approximately €64 million had been disbursed through the programme to 445 small and medium-sized technical enterprises.

In the microfinance sector, TMEDE Microfinance Solutions continues to offer loans of up to €25,000 through a digital platform. As of 30 June 2026, total disbursements had reached approximately €23 million, supporting more than 1,040 professionals, start-ups and small businesses.

Another significant development was the utilisation of the TEPIX III Microcredit Fund, managed by the Hellenic Development Bank, to develop new financing products.

TMEDE also provides group professional liability insurance, as well as life and health insurance programmes, in cooperation with Allianz and Generali.

CrediaBank Stake and Digital Transformation

As part of its strategy to broaden financing options for the technical sector, TMEDE maintains a stake in CrediaBank. This participation forms part of its efforts to improve access to financial services for engineers, contracting and consulting firms, and small and medium-sized businesses operating in the sector.

In parallel, TMEDE Portfolio, the organisation’s new digital platform, became operational in 2026, providing members and borrowers with round-the-clock access to services.

The platform consolidates relevant procedures within a single digital environment, enabling users to track the progress of their requests, receive personalised updates and benefit from greater transaction traceability.

Sustainable Development and ESG Criteria in Focus

TMEDE’s strategy also includes integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into its operations and services.

Its sustainability framework is structured around three pillars: improving the organisation’s internal processes; supporting members through information and self-assessment tools; and progressively assessing the sustainability-related risks and opportunities associated with projects supported through its guarantee services.

In the environmental field, TMEDE operates an Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001:2015, aiming to reduce its environmental footprint and improve energy efficiency.

In corporate governance, the organisation maintains management systems certified under ISO 9001, ISO 37001 and ISO 37301, alongside procedures for internal control, risk management, regulatory compliance and personal data protection.

Among the organisation’s key initiatives was its 2nd International Conference, entitled “Redefining the Future Horizons – Designing Tomorrow’s Sustainable Strategies,” held on 9 and 10 December 2025. Discussions focused on infrastructure resilience, addressing water scarcity, natural resource management, green development and the financing of sustainable projects.

As Konstantinos Makedos noted, TMEDE continues to invest in modern financing and guarantee instruments to empower young professionals and small and medium-sized enterprises while creating sustainable long-term value for the technical sector.
