A new generation of specialised professionals for the construction sector is set to be developed through the Master’s Programme “Construction Project Management (CPM)” of the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which is announcing the admission of 35 new postgraduate students for the academic year 2026–2027.

The programme, implemented with the exclusive sponsorship and support of the AVAX Group, has completed its first year of operation, confirming—according to its organisers—the strategic importance of collaboration between universities and the labour market in a sector facing increasing demand for specialised human capital.

Applications are open until Friday, 12 June 2026, while interest during the first academic year was strong, with the programme attracting engineers seeking to enhance their skills in the management and execution of complex technical projects.

The MSc in Construction Project Management (CPM) awards a Master of Science degree over three academic semesters and focuses on key areas of modern construction activity, such as project cost estimation, construction planning and monitoring, risk analysis, public procurement, and sustainable development.

Particular emphasis is placed on linking theoretical training with practical application through lectures delivered by industry executives and technical site visits, while classes are conducted in person in Thessaloniki.

The initiative is part of the broader investment strategy of the AVAX Group in education and skills development for the technical sector. The group, with a strong presence in infrastructure, construction, and energy, seeks through its support of the programme to contribute to the creation of a modern ecosystem of knowledge and expertise, at a time when the construction sector in Greece is entering a new cycle of major investments and projects.

Market participants note that the demand for professionals combining technical and managerial expertise is steadily increasing, as the acceleration of infrastructure projects, the green transition, and new requirements in cost and risk management are reshaping how the sector operates.
