A significant strategic cooperation agreement was signed between AviaNera Technologies, a member of the industrial and technology group CSG, and Ukrainian Armor LLC, aimed at the development and supply of advanced propulsion systems for Ukrainian missile and unmanned systems.

The agreement was signed on 15 June 2026 in Paris, on the opening day of the international defence exhibition Eurosatory 2026, marking a further deepening of cooperation between the two companies in a sector of critical importance to the defence industry.

Under the framework of the partnership, the two parties will work on the supply of engines intended for Ukrainian missile and unmanned platforms, covering a range of power categories and operational requirements. In parallel, the agreement provides for the establishment of joint ventures, the expansion of production capabilities, and the development of manufacturing activities within Ukraine, alongside the transfer of know-how and specialised expertise.

The CEO of AviaNera Technologies, Pavel Čechal, emphasised that the company is rapidly expanding its production of propulsion systems for unmanned aerial systems and guided missiles, noting that engines often constitute the key limiting factor in the production of such weapons systems.

He stated that the company’s strategy focuses on increasing manufacturing capacity and establishing production facilities in strategically important markets, with Ukraine representing one of the most significant. He also underlined that the new cooperation is a natural continuation of the Group’s already successful partnership with Ukrainian Armor in the field of licensed production of Western-standard ammunition.

For his part, the CEO of Ukrainian Armor, Vladyslav Belbas, described the agreement as an important step towards strengthening Ukraine’s missile and unmanned capabilities.

He noted that the cooperation aims to create new production capacities for advanced engines, while the joint development of industrial infrastructure and the future establishment of joint ventures will enable the integration of European technologies into Ukrainian platforms and support the development of a new generation of precision-guided weapons systems.

The agreement forms part of the broader effort to strengthen Ukraine’s defence industrial base and reflects the closer integration of Ukrainian defence companies with the European defence industry.

Both companies estimate that the partnership will contribute to increasing Ukraine’s production self-sufficiency, accelerating technological development, and building a stronger and more resilient European defence supply chain in an era of heightened geopolitical challe
