More specifically, the Vesper Next Generation Infrastructure Fund I, which focuses on mid-market infrastructure investments across Europe—particularly in strategic sectors linked to the energy transition, digital infrastructure, and transport—succeeded in raising capital above its initial €800 million target.
According to the company, the fund attracted participation from more than 50 high-profile international institutional investors from Europe and North America, including pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, and family offices. This strong participation reflects the steadily increasing demand for specialized infrastructure strategies at a time when Europe is placing heightened emphasis on energy security and strategic autonomy.
Vesper notes that since launching its investment activity in 2023, it has assessed approximately 400 investment opportunities, ultimately proceeding with six investments over a two-year period.
