Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean is investing in strengthening its presence in the Greek tourism sector, and particularly in the high-end market, by proceeding with the operation of the new five-star complex MERAVIA, Leonardo Limited Edition, through an investment of €45 million.

The new hotel venture is being developed as a five-star, adults-only property, placing emphasis on privacy, personalized hospitality experiences, and authenticity—key pillars of the group’s strategy in the premium tourism market.

The inclusion of MERAVIA in the portfolio of Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean forms part of the company’s investment strategy pursued since 2017, aimed at developing properties with a strong and distinctive identity. Today, the group manages a total of 13 hotel units in Greece and Cyprus—five in the Greek market and eight in Cyprus—while plans envisage further expansion to 16 hotels by the end of 2026.

At the same time, the company aims to extend the tourist season, targeting operations running from April through November. According to the company, this model has already been implemented with positive results in the Cypriot market.

The new property is also expected to make a significant contribution to the local economy, creating 150 new jobs and strengthening employment in the area.

MERAVIA began operations on May 1, already recording high occupancy rates during its initial period of activity. According to the company, this development reflects the steadily increasing demand for specialized, high-quality tourism experiences, as well as the growing momentum of the North Greek market in the premium tourism sector.
