A new significant investment is being promoted in Bulgaria by the TERNA ENERGIAKI Group.
A new decision by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Theodoros Skilakakis, expands the beneficiaries of the "Execonomo 2025" program to include individuals affected by the floods that occurred between September 17 and 20, 2020. These floods had a significant impact on several rural areas in the Regions of Thessaly, Peloponnese, and Central Greece. For these affected individuals, increased subsidy rates (ranging from 80% to 100%) will be applied, with a dedicated budget of €91.3 million allocated for their support.
This project represents the second major step in the completion of the interconnection between the Aravissos and Aliakmonas aqueducts, which are two of the primary water sources for Thessaloniki. The first phase of the interconnection, which involved the network systems and water transfer facilities for the serviced areas, was completed in December 2019.
