Drawing on the anniversary of 10 consecutive and successful years of operation since the opening of the first IKEA store in Sofia, Bulgaria, FOURLIS Group is announcing the creation of a new store in central Sofia.

This is a “new generation” IKEA store that will be created in Mall of Sofia in central Sofia and it is in the framework of the development of new small and medium size stores in urban centres that FOURLIS Group has set out on. The new IKEA store is expected to open for business in 2021.

Covering an area of 1200 sq.m., the store will offer visitors a large variety of furnishing ideas, while presenting a collection of more than 1000 products, accessories, and furniture available for immediate purchase, order, and pick-up at the specific store or from a partner centre or for home delivery.

FOURLIS Group opened the first IKEA store in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2011, aiming to make the daily life of its citizens even more beautiful and functional. Following the successful concept of order centres and Pick-Up & Order Points in Greece, 2 Pick-Up & Order Points operate in Bulgaria in Burgas and Plovdiv.

As part of the new store philosophy, an 8000 sq. m. store opened in Varna in September. FOURLIS Group, despite the difficult juncture we find ourselves at, is pressing on with the implementation of its growth plan.

A “new generation” IKEA store will soon open in Piraeus, covering an area of 2000 sq. m., which will be the first of a series of stores to open at central points in major Greek cities.

Overall, FOURLIS Group is presently operating five IKEA stores in Greece, two in Bulgaria, and one in Cyprus, while it has six Pick-up & Order points in Greece, two in Bulgaria, and one in Cyprus.
