The projects refer to upgrading the electronic services in the 332 municipalities of the country, to smart infrastructure investments, such as digital land bank, monitoring systems of air pollutants and marine pollution, installation of intelligent systems in public buildings, special measuring systems and sensors for stability and preventive maintenance of bridges, installation of 5G wireless networks in the National Motorway Network, fiber optics in buildings.
A large source of financing, that reaches €375 million, will be chanelled in digital transformation of small and medium enterprises.
The projects that are being prepared and planned to be deployed shortly comprise
smart cities: This is an investment program of €320 million, which concerns all 332 Municipalities of the country.
smart infrastrures: This is an investment of more than €174 million budget, which aims to improve the environment and culture.
smart bridges: The budget amounts to €81 million and the goal of the project is the utilization of data that will be drawn from special measurement systems and sensors for the statics and preventive maintenance of bridges in various parts of the country.
micro satelites: This is a €161 million project related to providing support to telecommunications services, mapping, spatial planning, shipping, agriculture and other sectors of the economy, providing critical support for investments in new technological solutions.
5G wireless networks in the National Highways: A project of €130 million, which is related to the development of 5G infrastructure on six Greek highways and for a total of 2.011 kilometers.
Digital transformation of small medium enterprises in Greece: An investment with €375million budget
Fiber optics infrastrure in real estate properties: with a budget of €73 million, which will be implemented through "Execonomo" scheme.
