Athenian properties to potentially receive a refreshing touch through the "FACADE" program

The Municipality of Athens, in collaboration with "ANAPLASI ATHENS SA", is launching a financing program to upgrade the facades of the private buildings in the capital.

All private properties within the Municipality of Athens can potentially been comprised in the "FACADE" program.

The initial budget of the grant program is €1,500,000.

According to the managing director of "ANAPLASI ATHENS SA", Polychroni Akritidis, who made the relevant information, the maximum amount of subsidy is set at €6,000 per building while for listed buildings the maximum amount of subsidy is set at €7,200 per property.

The submission of the applications and all the relevant procedures are done by an engineer, chosen by the beneficiary, through the electronic services of the TEE with absolute transparency and control.

The engineer selected by the beneficiary does not simply carry out the process but monitors the implementation of the interventions, ensures the obtaining of the necessary permits and approvals and certifies quantitatively and qualitatively the work performed in order to pay the grant.

In case the beneficiary chooses an engineer registered in the Register of Building Inspectors, his fee is subsidized in the amount of €400.

The goals of the project are to create a new urban landscape through the renovation of the facades of the buildings, to enhance the security of the buildings, to increase their value, to highlight the building wealth and the protection of the built environment, upgrading the image of the city in the center and its neighborhoods. As well as to the activation of the market and the mobilization of private capital.
