From October 1st, 2021, the new "Guarantee Fund EAT-TMEDE" enters into force, which is the first cooperation of the Hellenic Development Bank with a private institution and in particular the Fund of Civil Engineers (TMEDE).

This is a useful tool in an effort to support and facilitate access in financing to Greek engineers, designers and manufacturers, by the Hellenic Development Bank, after the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation with TMEDE on May 17, 2021.

The aim of the new fund is to provide collateral for loans granted by the 9 cooperating banks (Alpha Bank, National Bank, Eurobank, Piraeus Bank, Attica Bank, Optima Bank, Cooperative Bank of Thessaly, Cooperative Bank of Karditsa and Cooperative Epirus) in order to access to lending for Greek engineers, designers, builders, but also the thousands of freelance scientists, as well as small and medium enterprises.

Through the "EAT-TMEDE Guarantee Fund" every beneficiary who has undertaken the execution of a project or study of public interest, can receive working capital, through bank lending, up to 200,000 euros, with the Hellenic Development Bank (HDB) and TMEDE taking part of business risk by providing a guarantee to the banks for 80% of the financing.

In this way, it is expected to have any kind of lending difficulties been solved for thousands of freelancers and businesses are alleviated, making the process easier, faster and significantly cheaper for all parties.
