Ivan Savvidis gets 66.67% of SEGT, which controls the THPA

Businessman Ivan Savvidis will emerge as the largest and most controlling shareholder of SEGT Ltd, the company which owns 67% of the shares of listed THPA SA and the Thessaloniki port, with a percentage of 66.67%, through Belterra Investments Ltd, provided that the Competition Commission approves the transfer of a shareholding owned by the German fund DIEP GmbH.

According to an announcement by THPA SA on the Athens Stock Exchange, Belterra agreed to acquire - based on a share purchase agreement, signed on February 1 - the remaining 70% of the shares of "Melbery Investments Ltd." from the seller, Helanor Holdings Ltd (DIEP GmbH).

The transfer of shares will take place only if approved by the Competition Commission. Melbery, in which Belterra currently holds (before the agreement) 30% of shares, is a 66.67% shareholder of SEGT, which in turn holds 67% of the shares of the listed THPA SA.

Disinvestment from THPA "due to the general conditions in the global investment environment"

The seller Helanor, as well as its shareholders, "Deutsche Invest Equity Partners GmbH" (DIEP) and "Transconnect AG", made the decision to divest from Melbery and therefore from THPA SA, given general conditions applied in the European and global investment environment, based on their investment policy ".

The French "Terminal Link Grèce SAS", which is 100% owned by "Terminal Link SAS", participates in SEGT with the remaining 33.33%.

Latest news on pier 6 on Friday, February 5

It is reminded that in the second and final stage, there is a tender for the construction of pier 6 in the port of Thessaloniki, with a budget of 130 million euros and a deadline for submission of bids next Friday, February 5.
 
The project is part of the package of mandatory investments undertaken by the company, in the framework of the concession agreement between the Greek State and THPA SA, while it is estimated that it will upgrade the position of the port of Thessaloniki in the international port market. This is because the port will now be able to receive and service Ultra Large Container Vessels with a capacity of up to 24,000 TEUs (container metering unit).
 
The six shapes, which were selected after the completion of the first stage, are the following:

2. ARCHIRODON GROUP NV,
3. Partnership INTRAKAT CONSTRUCTIONS SA - INTERCANTIERI VITTADELLO SPA-SALES SPA,

5. AVAX SA - ETERMAR SA - NV BESIX SA consortium and
6.ACCIONA CONSTRUCCION SA - DREDGING INTERNATIONAL NV consortium.
