The project, that is currently in progress, refers to works
on the Police Directorates of Achaia, Karditsa, Veria, Lefkada and
Alexandroupolis building facilities.
Minister of Citizen Protection, Panagiotis Theodorikakos and
the Deputy Minister of Development, Nikos Papasathanes have discussed the project’s
evolution in a meeting attended also by the General Secretary of Public Order
Konstantinos Tsouvalas and the Secretary General of PPP Orestis Kavalakis.
The new buildings will be constructed by the contractor in
Patras, Lefkada, Karditsa, Veria and Alexandroupolis and the total budget available
reaches €60 million. "Ktiriakes Ypodomes SA" is the contracting
authority.
The housing of the services of the Police Directorates of
the Hellenic Police, in modern buildings and in key operational points of the
cities, is an immediate priority for the competent Ministry of Citizen
Protection so that on the one hand the services provided to the citizen and the
employees are upgraded. to save resources available for the purposes and
objectives of better city policing.
