Through its NSF V fund, Nrep plans to invest €700 million over the next five years to develop at least 40 new elderly care homes across Sweden, addressing the country’s urgent need for modern care infrastructure.
This initiative directly responds to Sweden’s rapidly aging population, which is driving an estimated annual demand for approximately 3,000 new care home units. Many existing facilities are outdated and in need of significant modernization. The investment aims to bridge this gap by delivering state-of-the-art care homes designed to enhance the well-being of residents, their families, and care staff.
As part of the agreement, Nrep will become the majority shareholder in Sehlhall. To support the company’s ongoing growth and long-term vision, Sehlhall’s board of directors—chaired by former Swedish Finance Minister Anders Borg—will be expanded to include representatives from Nrep. Other co-owners include company founders Dan T. Sehlberg and Petter Hallenberg, as well as Stena Fastigheter, Carl-Henric Svanberg, Ulf Adelsohn, Thord Wilkne, and Johan Andersson.
