The project with a total budget of 3 million euros refers to the Spilias Holy Monastery-Stefaniada part, approximately 2 kilometers long, included the improvement of the section of no. 9 of the secondary Provincial Road "Karditsa- Stefaniada" which has as its starting point the intersection towards the Holy Monastery of Spilia.
The following works were carried out in the project, General excavations in earthy-semi-rocky and rocky soil,
- The embankment construction,
- The construction of walls,
- The construction of lined trenches and microstructures,
- The construction of tubular culverts, box culverts, with rainwater drainage wells,
- Road paving and asphalt paving works
- Road markings and road safety.
At the same time, definitive restoration works were carried out in places where landslides were observed upstream or downstream of the road network of E.O.9 with the shaft pile method that will be used in the foundation of the retaining walls. Also, the necessary retaining (gravity) walls were built in order to achieve the proper and safe operation of the road, since the retention of the slopes will be achieved in this way.
