Chalkida and Psachna bypass project secures financing from the NSRF

The project "Chalkida Bypass and Psachna Bypass," with a total length of approximately 28 kilometers and a budget of €238,430,480, has been included in the ESPA Program "Transport 2021-2027."

Specifically, the intervention involves the full study and construction of the following road sections: "N. Lamsachos - Psachna," approximately 17 km, "Bypass of Psachna," approximately 4.6 km, "High Bridge - N. Lamsachos," approximately 4 km, and "North-South Evia Connection artery," approximately 2.4 km.

The project includes all necessary supporting actions: expropriations, relocations and restoration of utility networks, connections with these networks, as well as archaeological research and work.

The beneficiary of the project is the Road Infrastructure Directorate of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, and the contractor is METKA. The project was tendered in February 2022, and the contract was signed in March 2023, with a duration set at 48 months from the signing of the contract, plus an additional 18-month extension granted later, with a completion deadline of September 2, 2028.
