As announced, the signing of the contract was attended by key figures, including the Deputy Minister of Sports, Giannis Vroutsis, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, the Director of the Special Coordination Service of the Recovery Fund, Orestis Kavallakis, the Deputy CEO of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations (HCAP), Panagiotis Stamboulidis, and the General Director and Coordinator of OAKA, Konstantinos Chalioris.
The project encompasses the following interventions:

Development of implementation studies and securing the necessary permits.

Targeted structural improvements in the surrounding area of OAKA, including waterproofing, joint sealing, repairing cracks and pavements, restoring decorative mosaics of the "Calatrava" architectural elements, as well as lighting cubes and water features.

Planting of new trees, shrubs, and grass turf, alongside the restoration, maintenance, and expansion of the irrigation system.

Revitalization of the Agora, featuring new architectural elements (benches, olive trees) and enhanced lighting, transforming it into a prime destination for walking and leisure.

Construction of new roads for accommodating heavy vehicles, facilitating the operational needs of the sports complex.

Restoration of pumping stations and electromechanical infrastructure for the fountains, making them fully functional again.

Installation of LED lighting throughout the surrounding area.

Completion and replacement of large sections of the perimeter fence, much of which has become outdated, as well as the addition of security guard posts.

Construction of three climbing walls (Lead Wall, Boulder Wall, and Speed Wall), equipped with all necessary facilities (kiosks, etc.) to support athletes, along with spectator infrastructure.
With the signing of this contract, the tendering process for all projects, valued at over 130 million euros, has now concluded. These projects are part of the broader initiative to upgrade Greece's most significant Olympic sports facility. They are being designed and executed by PPF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Religion, and Sports, OAKA, and the Technical Chamber of Greece.
