The Corfu Port Authority earned international distinction in a recent study conducted by Compare the Market Australia, which evaluated 101 cruise ports worldwide.

The evaluation was based on seven key indicators, including visitor experience, available activities, and local weather conditions. According to the ranking:

  • Corfu Port was named the #1 Cruise Port in Greece

  • Ranked among the Top 10 Cruise Ports in Europe

  • 19th Best Cruise Port Worldwide

The port’s high average rating on online visitor reviews (4.2 out of 5) reflects the positive experience enjoyed by travelers and reinforces trust in Corfu as a premier cruise destination. Additionally, the island’s vibrant offering of activities — amounting to 193.6 activities per 100,000 visitors — highlights Corfu’s strength as a location rich in leisure and cultural experiences.

Key contributing factors to this distinction also included favorable weather conditions, such as an average visibility of 11 kilometers and mild winds, which facilitate safe and comfortable cruise ship docking, enhancing the overall visitor experience.

On the occasion of this international recognition, Mr. Dimitris Apergis, CEO of Corfu Port Authority S.A. (OLKE S.A.), stated:

“This global recognition is a reward for the ongoing efforts of the Port Authority to upgrade our services and enhance the visitor experience. Corfu Port has firmly established itself among the leading cruise destinations, and we will continue, with consistency and vision, to work toward a modern, safe, and internationally exemplary port that is welcoming to all visitors.”
