BEEM Platform: Facilitating Energy Efficiency Investments in Greece
The BEEM platform is an initiative by the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAAEY) designed to support energy-saving investments in buildings. It serves as a hub for all stakeholders in Greece's energy efficiency market, focusing on both Consumers (i.e., homeowners, commercial building/office owners, private individuals, and companies) and Service Providers (i.e., Energy Service Companies [ESCOs], equipment/service providers for energy efficiency, financial institutions, etc.).
The primary goal of the platform is to streamline the procurement of energy-saving services and accelerate their implementation. It achieves this by addressing typical market gaps through standardization of investments, consolidation of similar services with common technical features, and efficient coordination among stakeholders.

How the Platform Works for Consumers: Consumers wishing to utilize the platform create an account via a simple email verification process. They then input the characteristics of their home/building, and the platform suggests energy upgrade services along with estimated costs.
Consumers can choose which energy efficiency measures/services they wish to receive offers for from Energy Service Providers and submit a request through the platform for quotes on those services.
Energy Service Providers: The platform's initial version includes companies registered on the BEEM platform, such as:

Free Access: The use of the platform is free for both consumers and service providers.
It is important to note that RAAEY does not play a role in selecting the professional or energy service provider, nor in the pricing offered. This responsibility rests solely with the consumer who uses the platform to make the selection and negotiate the terms.
