Applications for exemption from ENFIA for properties damaged by the 2025 wildfires are submitted through the information system of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE). The exemption applies to the ENFIA for 2025 (the year in which the damage occurred), as well as for the following two years (2026 and 2027).

Through three Joint Ministerial Decisions by the Ministries of National Economy and Finance, Interior, and Climate Crisis and Civil Protection [62339/DAEFK-KE/A325/01.10.2025 (B’ 5347), 62408/DAEFK-KE/A325/02.10.2025 (B’ 5390), and 62434/DAEFK-KE/A325/02.10.2025 (B’ 5391)], the fire-affected areas have been officially defined.

Eligible individuals can submit an application for exemption from the 2025 ENFIA (property tax) via the digital portal myAADE (myaade.gov.gr) by selecting: My Requests > New Request > Taxation > Capital > Application for Reduction or Exemption of ENFIA. The application must include:

The completed form “D500 Application – Declaration for Exemption, Discount or Recalculation of ENFIA”

Required supporting documents, depending on the case.

It should be noted that for subsequent years, a new application is not required, as the exemption will be automatically granted with the central annual assessment, provided the eligibility criteria continue to be met.

Required Supporting Documents

A. For buildings with the corresponding plot:

Inspection Protocol for Dangerously Dilapidated Buildings, Re-inspection Report, or Inspection Report from the General Secretariat for Disaster Recovery and State Aid of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, which:

Classifies the building as dangerous or temporarily unfit for use

Is issued within one (1) year of the disaster

B. For agricultural plots (and any buildings on them):

Certificate of damage from the local Agricultural Development and Inspection Departments (TAEE) of the Decentralized Services of the General Directorate of Decentralized Structures of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, issued within six (6) months of the disaster.
