The cost of the project reaches €84 million (including VAT) with a time horizon of 30 months.
The new double railway line has a length of 70.6 km and with the operation of electric propulsion trains will be able to develop a speed of up to 200 km/h.
At the same time, telecommunication systems for passenger information, an announcement system, emergency calls and intercom, closed circuit television, plantings, installation of anti-noise curtains at identified points are included. Co-financing has been secured for the project from European Union funds, from the NSRF 2014-2020, within the Operational Program "Transport Infrastructures, Environment and Sustainable Development" (EP-YMEPERAA).
