Following the signing of the integration decisions, the Regional Governor of Central Greece, Fanis Spanos, remarked:

"The International Day of Persons with Disabilities serves, among other things, to remind us of the significant responsibility the state has toward those members of society who need our support the most. It also sends a message of awareness about their needs. This year, the message from the Region of Central Greece is not just words but actions. We have signed the inclusion of three new projects in the NSRF for our Region, with a total budget of €1,046,361.89, which will fund essential work to improve access for students with disabilities at the universities in Central Greece."
