Generali Deutschland has acquired the Momenturm, the iconic high-rise tower located in Munich’s Werksviertel district, from Art-Invest Real Estate.

The insurance giant plans to relocate approximately 1,500 employees from its Munich and Augsburg headquarters to the new premises by the end of 2028.

Generali Real Estate, which led the transaction, will oversee the further development of Momenturm into a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient, and environmentally sustainable office complex.

Art-Invest Real Estate originally acquired the building at Rosenheimer Straße 139 in 2019. The Momenturm project will expand the available office space from 11,000 square meters to approximately 28,000 square meters. Generali Deutschland will occupy a portion of the building, while additional premium office space will be available for lease to third-party tenants.

Rising to a height of 60 meters, the Momenturm tower has been designed by OSA Ochs Schmidhuber Architekten.
