Greece records €4.151B cash primary surplus in first half of 2025

According to data released by the Bank of Greece, the cash primary surplus of the central government amounted to €4.151 billion in the first half of 2025, compared to a surplus of €2.952 billion during the same period in 2024.

According to the Bank of Greece, in January-June 2025, the central government cash balance recorded a deficit of €465 million, compared to a deficit of €1,558 million in the same period of 2024. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to €32,550 million, compared to €29,999 million in the corresponding period of last year.

Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to €31,605 million, from €29,117 million in January-June 2024.
