The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in September 2024 amounted to 9.3% compared
to 10.7% in September 2023 and to 9.5% in August 2024.
The number of employed persons amounted to 4,262,924 persons, increased by 66,317 persons as compared with September 2023 (1.6%) and by 4,272 persons compared with August 2024 (0.1%).
The number of unemployed persons amounted to 437,648, decreased by 65,905 persons as compared with September 2023 (-13.1%) and by 7,615 persons compared with August 2024 (-1.7%).
The number of persons outside the labour force, i.e., persons under the age of 75, that neither
work nor look for a job, amounted to 3,070,957, decreased by 16,974 persons as compared
with September 2023 (-0.5%) and increased by 1,130 persons compared with August 2024.
