According to ELSTAT, the number of employed persons amounted to 4,293,899 persons, increased by 79,229
persons as compared with June 2023 (1.9%) and by 41,192 persons compared with May 2024
(1.0%).
The number of unemployed persons amounted to 456,663, decreased by 85,865 persons as compared with June 2023 (-15.8%) and by 30,629 persons compared with May 2024 (-6.3%).
The number of persons outside the labour force, i.e., persons under the age of 75, that
neither work nor look for a job, amounted to 3,027,673, decreased by 16,999 persons as
compared with June 2023 (-0.6%) and by 12,838 persons compared with May 2024 (-0.4%).
