The coastal area of 76,379.00 sq.m. is being granted for use with a minimum guaranteed annual rent of €100,000, with the purpose of its development through low-impact activities of social, cultural, and athletic character.
The development will be funded by the Municipality for a period of twenty-five (25) years, with the possibility of a five-year extension.
According to the study by the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), the proposed interventions are of a mild, sustainable nature, prioritizing low environmental impact and social benefit. Indicative projects include:
- Creation of green walking and cycling routes
- Construction of outdoor sports and seating areas
- Planting of native species and enhancement of the natural landscape
- Use of energy-efficient lighting solutions
