With a total installed capacity of 1.2 MW, the new PPC blue Hub in Patras enables the simultaneous charging of up to 29 electric vehicles. The hub includes 21 alternating current (AC) charging points with a capacity of up to 22 kW each, six fast direct current (DC) charging stations with a capacity of up to 180 kW, and two ultra-fast high-power DC (HPDC) charging stations with a capacity of up to 360 kW, designed to deliver rapid charging for all compatible vehicles.
According to PPC, the 360 kW ultra-fast charger operating at the Patras Commercial Park is currently the fastest and most powerful public EV charger in Greece. It is equipped with an interactive touchscreen interface, smart lighting, and other advanced features. Under optimal conditions and depending on the vehicle type, a full battery charge can be completed in as little as 15 minutes.
Drivers can reserve charging stations in advance via the PPC blue mobile application, which enhances convenience and user experience. The app also enables users to monitor the progress of their vehicle's charging in real time, offering greater transparency and control.
With the operation of the new charging hub in Patras, PPC blue now counts more than 36 dedicated hubs across Greece, continuing to play a pivotal role in upgrading the national EV charging infrastructure and enhancing the experience for EV drivers. Each PPC blue Hub is strategically designed to provide at least 10 charging points per location, combining fast DC chargers with multiple AC charging options. These facilities are positioned in commercial or recreational areas, allowing drivers to take advantage of nearby services while their vehicle charges, thereby minimizing perceived wait times.
PPC blue is the first e-mobility provider in Greece to develop such dedicated charging hubs, marking a significant step forward in the evolution of the country’s EV landscape. Through its comprehensive and integrated approach to electric mobility, PPC is making EV charging more accessible and convenient, supporting the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. Today, PPC blue operates the largest and most advanced public charging network in Greece, comprising more than 2,600 public charging points, including 350 fast-charging stations.
