Costa Navarino has received the GEO certification from the GEO Sustainable Golf Foundation, an international non-profit organization that evaluates golf courses based on their sustainability practices. This certification confirms that The Bay Course and The Dunes Course meet the highest criteria in four areas: highlighting the natural environment, optimal resource management, positive social impact, and climate actions.
According to Carole Kerrey, Certification Manager of the GEO Sustainable Golf Foundation, Costa Navarino has demonstrated a clear commitment to sustainability in its design and operation of the two courses. Besides meeting the certification criteria, innovative practices are also being implemented, and she is excited to see further developments.
David Ashington, General Manager of Costa Navarino Golf, expressed happiness with the GEO certification of The Bay Course and The Dunes Course. He said that the certification is an international recognition of the golf destination's long-standing commitment to sustainable development. Innovative practices were implemented from the beginning of its operation, and they are working hard to continually improve these practices for guests' best possible experience in the spectacular natural environment.
Costa Navarino is the first golf destination in the Eastern Mediterranean to receive this certification.
