This iconic hotel, located in the heart of the Cortina d’Ampezzo ski resort, was acquired at the close of 2022 by PRODEA Investments (75%) and Invel Real Estate (through the “Eudora Fund LP” with a 25% stake), with the goal of a complete renovation in anticipation of the 2026 Winter Olympics, for a total price of approximately €49 million.
The Hotel Bellevue Cortina d’Ampezzo, part of the Emblems Collection, is situated on Corso Italia, the most famous avenue in Cortina. Originally built in the late 19th century, the property is undergoing a redesign led by the Italian architectural firm pconp studio, while the interior spaces are being reimagined by Tihany Design Studio.
The materials used in the redesign include Bianco Antico marble mosaics, a stone sourced from the Veneto region, which has been carefully crafted to capture the polished elegance of historic Italian buildings.
Upon completion of its renovation, the hotel will offer 80 luxurious rooms, including 27 suites with mountain views. As part of its commitment to holistic well-being, the spa will span 500 square meters, providing a tranquil retreat for relaxation after skiing. The wellness facilities will include three treatment rooms, along with both an indoor and outdoor pool.
Marianna Papachristoforou, Partner & Head of Hospitality at Invel Real Estate, stated, “Through our partnership with Accor, the iconic Bellevue is entering a new era of excellence, reaffirming its status as one of Europe’s most celebrated alpine destinations. The exceptional design by Tihany Design Studio, coupled with the choice of the Emblems brand, guarantees that the resort will remain a benchmark for sustainable, world-class hospitality for generations to come.
